Hi, I'm one of the members of the development group - Triangle Ventures. Building is
called "Park Triangle", will have retail on the first floor (no leases yet) and
luxury rental apartments above the 1st floor (no affordable). This is being built
above Metro subway tunnels - WMATA owns the land. We're going to start marketing in
June, completion in September. Will be glad to send links to website etc. once it's
up later in the Spring or early Summer.

From Ernie Marcus of Triangle Ventures, "Here is a brief summary of the retail space as of today: - Pollo Campero sit down and carryout restaurant will face the public plaza with outdoor seating. This is the Central American chicken place that has been in the newspapers over the past year. A very popular place. - We have a letter of intent with a full scale restaurant facing the plaza too with outdoor seating. I can't say who it is but can say that I think people will be very pleased with it. Their other restaurants are well run, very neighborhood oriented and moderately priced. Hopefully a good future hangout for people. - Close to a letter of intent with national ice cream specialty store. - T-Mobile. - Final stages of lease signature with a Drycleaners. Interesting concept includes off-hours, computerized pick-up or dropoff. - Credit Union/bank - Insurance agency - lease negotiation with bedding store, high quality. Clearly available are 2 spaces: - a 1,500 square foot space that has access to a vent hood to roof so this could be a small, carryout with a few tables. We are talking to a sandwich shop but would certainly be open to ideas from people on the listserve. This space faces the Giant. - a 1,300 square foot space, also facing Park Road. No food use or other high trash generator (doesn't back up to service alley which accesses the common trash room). Anybody with ideas or questions welcome to contact me. We'll be opening apartments in early January. The apartments will be 1 and 2 bedrooms, rents from about $1,500 to $2,800. We probably won't have a true grand opening until the Spring.
